Leeds Builders Specialising in Passive House, Extensions & Renovations

At Inspired Builds, we combine exceptional craftsmanship with sustainable building practices, particularly in Passive House construction. Our Yorkshire-based team is dedicated to delivering energy-efficient, durable homes that meet both your personal and environmental goals.

Yes, we build bespoke, high-specification new homes. A good example is Bebington in Weetwood, Leeds, which was certified to the Passive House Plus standard in June 2025, one of only a small number of Passive House Plus homes in the UK.

Yes, we have done a wide range of commercial projects across Yorkshire, from offices and medical buildings to large student accommodation projects. We also have extensive experience in industrial projects, such as large industrial sheds.

Every extension is priced on its own merits. Size, single or double storey, ground conditions, the level of glazing and the specification of the finishes all make a big difference, and costs across Yorkshire have moved a lot in recent years. The best way to get a reliable figure is to talk to us early, ideally with drawings, and we will give you a detailed, itemised quote.

The cost of a new build home depends on its size, the site, the design and the specification, so two houses of the same floor area can be priced very differently. We price every project individually from the drawings and work with you and your architect to keep the build within budget without cutting corners on quality.

A Passive House usually costs more to build than a standard home, because of the extra insulation, triple glazing, airtightness work and ventilation with heat recovery. How much more depends on the design and how early Passive House is built into it. In return, running costs are far lower and the home is more comfortable. We are happy to give you a detailed estimate for your project.
